Our Approach

eTeams’ Objective Statement is:

To collaborate with our clients to deliver a personalised, open, best-in-class, and competitively priced language service, ranging from single, high-word-count projects through to high-volume, low-word-count projects; granting our clients access at zero cost to the advanced “Business and Workflow Management” and “Translation Memory and Term Base” technology offered within eTeamsCONNECT, our  globally accessible translation environment.

Please click on the links below for more information on the choices available to you from eTeams.

Personalised Service

eTeams believes that the ‘personal touch’ is being lost by large translation providers in our industry.

The term ‘personalised’ is a nice but heavily overused word.  What actually does it mean when used to describe a service?  How does eTeams operate differently to offer a personalised service?

For us, a personalised service must be measurable in terms of ensuring that you, our client, has a strong basis of trust in us through our commitment, proposals and our communications.   We have to make sure your needs are met and your investment in our relationship is worthwhile.

We care about the trust we have established with our clients over the years and are proud to be able to say that over the last two years, 97% have stayed with us; in fact, some have been with eTeams since our inception.

We offer you a direct line of communication to our Directors, who are contactable out of office hours because we realise your business day doesn’t always stop at 5.30 p.m.

Personalising our service extends to the way we treat our freelance linguists.  Compared with other language providers, our Linguistic Care environment offers personal contact and ongoing dialogue, use of our web-based translation environment at zero cost and full training and administrative support when needed.

Creating this type of environment ensures quality, dedication and loyalty from the most important part of our organisation – our people.

Collaborative and Open Service

eTeams’ collaborative and open approach offers our clients their best choice for a complete relationship with eTeams as their preferred Translation partner.   We develop bespoke solutions for them, while supporting and fostering the idea of sharing best practices.

We encourage our clients to establish close relationships with our Project Managers and Company Directors and, because we are a stream-lined organisation, decisions are made and implemented quickly.

Our clients have access to our translation assets 24/7 enabling them to monitor the progress of their language projects at any given time. This approach has the benefit of re-examining and simplifying how work is performed in order to meet the agreed objectives for each language project.

We document roles and responsibilities, processes and workflows, leaving no room for error. We then use advanced, commercially available technology which is offered to our clients and linguists at zero cost.

We further understand that business requirements can change and so, from the outset, we document our interdependencies and explain your choices.   We believe this approach will help you choose to retain eTeams rather than being tied to us because of business processes,  workflow or use of technology.

Best-in-Class

We define ‘best-in-class’ to mean offering the highest performance in our industry.  The success of our approach is due to our people, our processes and our advanced technology.

We further believe that a language partner must continually develop and maintain externally audited quality standards across all their projects teams.  For us, we invested in achieving ISO9001:2000 and then ISO 9001:2008 certification throughout our entire company.  We have also achieved EN 15038 certification, a recognised quality standard for translation services certified by independent audit institutions.

eTeams has a policy of Continual Professional Development within our organisation. This means that all our Project Managers have either attained or are undergoing PMP certification, thereby assuring you that you are dealing with a professional and high-calibre individual.

Our team of freelance linguists are all highly qualified, in-country and native speaking, with a 3rd–level linguistic qualification, at least 3 years professional experience and a good understanding of the subject matter.

Our processes include glossary and style-guide creation, cultural adaptation, text extraction and bilingual file creation, translation, editing, full proofreading, desktop publishing, client reviews and the generation and QA of the final client files.

We use advanced and commercially available technology for business management, automated workflow, web-based translation memory and term base management.  Our clients and linguists have access to the same systems as eTeams at zero cost.

Led by our Directors, our Quality policy is linked to our clients’ needs and our business strategy. This gives us competitive advantage through increased client satisfaction and improved business performance.

Competitively Priced

eTeams’ approach has always been to keep our processes simple and our management team lean.  We institute creative thinking without compromising any of the key elements detailed in our Objective Statement.

We focus on doing what we do best; the provision of translation and interpretation services only.  We are not distracted into other areas such as application development or the need to sell software.

Our Project Management team comprises highly effective professionals, with at least 5 years experience in our industry.  Our infrastructure costs are low.  We are based in one office which is not located in a major urban centre.  Our management organisation is streamlined, resulting in fast and effective decision making.  We have one profit and cost centre unlike large providers that typically can have many centres trying to register profits and costs from your project.

We do not levy minimum fees for Project Management.

We also offer our clients and linguists access to our advanced, web-based technology environment at zero cost.

In summary, this means that our pricing is competitive and that you will receive value-for-money.
